October Dog Walking Challenge for Dementia UK: Week Four

October Dog Walking Challenge for Dementia UK: Week Four

This week started with a rather threatening sunrise and as it turned out, Monday was in fact pretty stormy!

Thankfully, the rain stopped long enough for a woodland walk and once again, I was treated to a variety of colourful and interesting mushrooms!

Wednesday morning began with a low mist, especially pretty against Autumn's vibrant shades and deep blue sky.

We also ran into the deer again. The Bucks' antlers are slowly growing! They carried on grazing under the ever watchful eye of Willow and a golden sunrise.

On Thursday at Willow's off-lead adventure, we randomly spotted a sunflower flowering in the little sandpit area! It really was a lovely, unexpected find.

Friday was such a beautiful day, we decided to go for a walk around the footpath attached to a local garden centre. Willow is quite well camouflaged against the autumn leaves, sunlight dappling her sweet face through the branches.

And so, another week of walking is almost over! The clocks going back this evening bring an end to our sunrise walks and this will be my last blog for the month.

Thank you so much for supporting us on our walking journey for Dementia UK. I really hope you have enjoyed walking with us, as much as we have! Over the month, we have walked 72.5 miles so far and are just shy of our £150 target! So we'll definitely exceed our 75 mile walking goal over the next week and I'm ever hopeful that we'll just pip our fundraising one too! If you would like to help us reach it, you can do here

We wish you all a wonderful rest of the month!
